<p>Nowadays, people have grown exceedingly conscious of their health.  You’ll hear of easy weight loss programs emphasizing on healthy diet.  Oftentimes, things such as antioxidants and Omega 3 are mentioned.  You have probably heard of Omega 3 and how it is good for your health.</p>
<p><strong>What is Omega 3?</strong></p>
<p>Essentially, Omega 3 is a fatty acid.  It cannot be produced by the body or extracted from other food.  Omega 3 promotes strong heart and healthy blood vessels.  Omega 3 is recommended to reduce the risks of developing certain diseases like hypertension, cancer and certain heart diseases.  It is also recommended to prevent strokes.  Studies have also shown that Omega 3 is good for relieving and preventing depression.  A healthy menu, therefore, must include foods that are rich in Omega 3.</p>
<p>Omega 3 comes in three forms:  Alpha-Linolenic Acid, Eicoso Pentaenoic Acid and Docosa Hexaeonic Acid.  They can be found in vegetables, flax seeds, cod, seaweeds, tuna, hemp and vegetable oils.</p>
<p><strong>Benefits of Omega 3</strong></p>
<p>Omega 3 has many benefits.  If you are trying to lose weight, you should definitely include Omega 3 in your diet.  You must be wondering how Omega 3 helps in losing weight.  Essentially, it is the EPA, a component of Omega 3 that increases the metabolism of the body.  The body then burns fats fast.</p>
<p>There are a lot of easy diets that are being promoted in the market.  Do not buy into these without checking the foods that are recommended.  A healthy weight loss program should include large servings of fibrous and Omega 3-rich foods.</p>

<p><strong>Understanding Carbohydrates</strong></p>
<p>Basically, carbohydrates or carbs are organic compounds that are converted into energy by the body.  These compounds are crucial to body functions.  They strengthen the immune system.  They help in the pathogenesis and blood clotting function of the body.</p>
<p>People would usually feel energized after eating carb-rich foods.  The drawback to eating too much carbs, however, is weight gain.  Not all foods though that are rich in carbohydrate would caused weight gain.  You just have to know how to differentiate good carbs from the bad carbs.  Oftentimes, people who are overweight or obese have an unhealthy lifestyle and equally unhealthy diet packed with bad carbs.</p>
<p>If you’re trying to lose weight, you should try healthy weight loss program that encourages good carbs intake.  This kind of carbs is in their natural state.  You can get these types of carbohydrates in pasta, whole wheat bread, oats and whole grain cereals.  If you have problems with your weight and your confused with all those easy diets program, stick with a good-carb diet.</p>

<p>Carbohydrate is the main building block of our metabolism. Carbohydrate intake will be digested and converted into energy. However if we take too many carbohydrate it will lead to increasing fat store of our body and as a result the body weight creeping up again. A lot of foods contain carbohydrate in different percentage, some of them are: bread, pasta, sauces, muffins, and etcetera. For Asian people rice is the biggest carbohydrate source. </p>
<p>Reducing sugar is compulsory in weight reduction diet program, but don&#8217;t forget to reduce carbohydrates as well. Since carbohydrate must be converted to sugar before our body uses it as energy source, it is necessary to reduce both source of sugar to achieve your diet goal. Here are some tips to reduce carbohydrate intake on our daily menu without complications. </p>
<p><strong>Change your bread with tortillas</strong>. Whole-grain wraps or flour tortilla contains less carbohydrate than a big slice of your bread. Tortilla will give you carbohydrate intake and keeping your food in a balanced composition without overdoing it. Wraps come in different flavors such as Italian herb and sun-dried tomato. These new tastes will give your sandwiches a zing. </p>
<p><strong>Reduce your white potatoes portion</strong>. Potatoes are the biggest enemy of your diet program. It should be eaten carefully. For the first step switch your meal with sweet potatoes. Sweet potatoes have lower calories than white potatoes and can be served up as flat chips or baked.</p>

<p><strong>Eat more fruit instead of crackers</strong>. Put a bowl of fruit in front of your chair when you&#8217;re watches television. Try to combine apple chips with peanut butter to make your mouth tingle.   </p>
<p>There are also some specialty food products with low-carb ingredients. They add only small amount of digestible carbohydrate in their product. This particular food (bread or pasta) uses durum wheat semolina. From forty grams of carbohydrate per serving only five grams get used by our metabolism and the rest of it are flushed from our body. You can get this product from special food store in town. </p>
